Choosing Stage Lighting Equipment And Stage Lighting Packages

by baron on Mar.25, 2011, under Stage-Tech Lighting Inventory

There are lots of types of stage lighting fixtures to use and choose from when lighting a location during an event at the discretion of your lighting designer. There is certainly different methods of which light may perhaps be targeted or simply placed to give an original look or simply provide the particular kind of lighting that is needed. This all has to do with focusing, lighting positioning, color, and also gobo patterns for the light.

Spot Lights. Several different choices, might be a Follow Spot or possibly a Profile Spot, this has a bit more elaborate lens set up and helps you to totally focus the beam to help you employ a tender edged beam similar to the wash light or a hard edged one. Nearly all Profile spots allow you to put in a Gobo – metallic disc using cut-outs – to split up the light in order to project designs and images. This will create a variety of effects.. A spot light is managed by a person; it in most cases emanates from the rear of the theatre or up higher on a catwalk. A spot light is often a circular image of light, normally is utilized to help highlight some actor or actress.Use a one half body spot and so in that case you’ll need the radius .A spot may be used to light the full body, for this you should have the height of the person normally know as the diameter.

Movers. The average moving light permits the designer to manage the placement, coloration, pattern, and strobing from the light beam created. This can be used for fascinating effects with the entertainment or dancefloor use. Shifting lights are also often used rather then having a large number of “generic” lights. It is really because a single moving light can achieve the work of countless generics.

Wash Lights. Produces a very soft edged beam which usually appears quite natural. Beam size can usually get modified and a variety of sources blend together with each other effortlessly. There are several sub-categories of these; par can, prismconvex, pebble convex and fresnels. The Par can is one of the most favored of these.

Strip Lighting. Another type of lighting is strip lights. Strip lighting is quite different given that they have got three light bulbs instead of simply having one light bulb in these like most lights. Strip lights are useful to fill up color for the syc, a white colored background. The most frequent colors used are blue, red and yellow. So that way the light specialist can also create green, orange and violet through all those colours. Strip lights are really the only lighting that are not aimed towards the stars and performers. They’re hung over the stage towards the back of it and are aimed backwards towards the syc that ordinarily is the second to last back drop. Such lighting is typically hung at about fifteen to twenty degrees angle.

Beam Lights. The Beam Light is a bit different as each of the optics would be inside the bulb. This method brings the cost of the light fixture down however the lamps are a a bit more costly. The most common example of this fixture will be the Parcan. These kinds of lighting fixtures deliver a rather intensive beam of light which may be quite effective but there is no control with the beam therefore the spread is a touch irregular. Used extensively in Rock’n'Roll because the intensity of the light that works well along with powerful colours.

LED fixtures produce color thru additive colour mixing with blue, green, and red LEDs with various intensities. This kind of color mixing is also utilized often together with borderlights and cyclorama lighting fixtures to generate several colors on stage as well as on the cyclorama.

Flood Lights Of course the last, however, not least, is definitely the flood light. This has virtually no adjustable controls and produces a very wide spread of light. It is typically only useful to illuminate background objects.
